What will you receive?
First of all, you become a member of the Order of Minerva and are entitled to use your order name from now on. Whether on letterhead, business cards, or even a nameplate at your home, the title of Consul may be used as part of your official designation. As a Consul, you are also authorized to admit new members to the Order. You may determine and collect the admission fee at your own discretion. Afterward, you submit the details of the new member to us, and we will provide you with the official documents and the appointment certificate. For each new member, a one-time administrative fee of $25 is charged by us. As a Consul, you are expected to admit only individuals who identify with the principles of the Order. Please note that the title “Consul” may only be used in connection with the Order. Using it incorrectly, such as “Consul Peter Meyer,” is not permitted and may even have legal implications. The correct and complete form is:
Peter Meyer – Consul of the Order of Minerva
As a Consul, you will receive the right to admit new members, an exclusive golden ID card featuring your name, title, and coat of arms, as well as a personalized stamp bearing your name, title, and coat of arms.
The term “Consul” originates from ancient Rome, where it was the title of the highest-ranking state official. A consul acted as both an advisor and a representative, serving his state through counsel, diplomacy, and the cultivation of relationships. In this sense, a Consul is an ambassador who represents and promotes his state—or in this case, the Order—through thoughtful and wise action.
The ancient goddess Minerva, the guiding figure of the Order, was originally the patron deity of common people, craftsmen, and sailors. After being associated with the Greek goddess Athena, she also became the protector of the arts and of scholars. She embodies the ideal of dignity and wisdom with which you are invited to carry this prestigious title.
Becoming a member is simple: after entering your name—or the name of the person receiving the certificate as a gift—you choose an order name that you would like to bear. This can be your real name or any creative name of your choice. With this step, you become a member of the Order of Minerva.
It is important to know that your membership does not involve any ongoing obligations or costs. There are no recurring membership fees, no mandatory meetings, and no requirements you must fulfill. You are free to remain a passive member and simply enjoy your honorary title. It should also be noted that this is not an academic title; however, you may officially use it on letterhead, business cards, and even as an order name in identification documents.
Your high-quality appointment certificate will be delivered already framed. The statutes and regulations of the Order are provided in a separate presentation folder. In addition, you will receive 50 business cards featuring your order name and coat of arms, allowing you to use your new title immediately. Under certain conditions, it is also possible to have your title recorded in your identification documents. We will provide you with detailed information explaining how this can be arranged.
