The Order of Minerva sees itself as a decentralized and non-religious association of intelligent and honorable individuals who strive for knowledge and live by virtue. Become a Knight, Senator, or Consul—a title that you may freely and legally use as an order name.
The order name is freely selectable: it can be based on your own name, preceded by the title “Knight,” for example “Knight John,” or you may choose a custom name such as “Knight John of Manhattan.” There are no limits to your choice of name.
You do not enter into any further obligations. You will receive a high-quality appointment certificate as a Knight, Senator, or Consul. There are no additional costs or commitments, such as membership fees.
The most important principle upheld by the order is a strong commitment to personal education. Only educated individuals can understand the moral values that define the community, apply them to achieve a fulfilled life, and pass them on to others. Furthermore, the order does not accept members who hold negative attitudes toward the state, religion, or moral conduct. Therefore, a key requirement for membership is a clean legal record, meaning you must not be accountable for any criminal offenses.
As a member, you are not subject to any further obligations. There is no recurring membership fee, nor are you required to attend meetings. The one-time entry fee is the only requirement.
You may choose a specific membership level. A Knight embodies the principles of the order and may use the designation alongside their name. Since members adopt an order name, other titles may also be used officially, including diplomatic-style titles such as “Senator” or “Consul.” However, these must always be used in conjunction with “Order of Minerva.” A Senator may also publicly use their title. The most prominent role is that of the Consul, who, upon appointment, represents the principles of the order externally, may appoint new members, hold meetings, and promote the rules of the community.
The registration of the order name in an identification document depends on the discretion of the respective authority and is not guaranteed.
