Family history Senator Minerva
Fictional family history
Senator Minerva
The fictional Senate family of Minerva first appeared in the chronicles of the free city of Aurelia in the 14th century. Its founder, Octavian Minerva, was originally a jurist and was elected to the Senate after years as a city clerk. He did not possess the loudest voice or the most magnificent palace, yet his calmly formulated proposals often found a majority. A reliable city statute was particularly important to him, protecting noble families and ordinary citizens alike.
Octavian's daughter Valeria collected copies of old laws and supplemented them with reports from other cities. Her house became a meeting place for diplomats, builders, and scholars. When a fire devastated the market district, she organized the reconstruction together with the guilds. Wider streets, stone fountains, and a new grain store made Aurelia safer and livelier than before.
In the 16th century, Senator Cassian Minerva led the family through a turbulent time. He convinced rival council factions to have their debates recorded publicly and had the keys to the city treasury kept by three independently elected guardians. His sister Flavia maintained a musical salon where courtly compositions mingled with joyful port songs. Thus, the house combined political responsibility with a pronounced love of the arts.
Later Minervas served as judges, envoys, and teachers. As the old Senate constitution gradually gave way to modern administrative forms, the family preserved its archives and opened them to researchers. The former family residence became an academy with a garden whose paths formed the shape of an owl.
The story of the House of Minerva therefore does not end at a council door. It continues in books, music, and the idea that public dignity arises primarily from listening, moderation, and the courage to make rational decisions.

Family coat of arms Senator Minerva
This Coat of arms follows the existing Minerva Senate coat of arms. The golden eagle in the laurel wreath and the two bound scrolls represent counsel, law, education, and documented responsibility.
At the top, a frontal golden owl with blue eyes in deep blue; at the bottom, two horizontally crossed silver scrolllets, held together by a golden band. Above the shield, a golden senator's laurel wreath.
In the Senator, the eagle is completely golden and is complemented by the scrolls with a clear sign of public consultation. The laurel refers to the classical republican image and clearly distinguishes the rank from that of knight and consul.
